The US POD centrifugal extractor can increase gravity more than 3000 times in liquid/liquid processing applications to separate phases with different specific gravity. The production benefit of this gravity expansion system greatly exceeds that of a single gravity system such as a gravity tower.

The American POD centrifugal extractor has five standard models, the processing capacity ranges 1.51 liters per minute in laboratory test scale to 2,271 liters per minute in actual production applications.
Category A-Multi-stage extraction washing, the gravity ratio of the liquid phase that cannot be mixed is usually 0.06 to 0.15.
Category B-fermentation liquid extraction, the gravity difference is similar (but this liquid is generally an emulsion).
The working principle of the POD centrifugal extraction machine is as follows (see the picture above):
The rotor is equipped with a coaxial hoop with holes. When the rotor rotates, the heavy liquid (HL feed) droplets will pass through the light liquid phase area, converge on the outside of the hoop, then pass through the hoop hole gather near the top of the pod. Discharge outlet (HL discharge). The light liquid (LL feed) droplets pass through the shaft to converge on the inside of the hoop, then pass through the hoop hole to gather at the discharge port near the shaft (LL discharge).
